Acene molecules are an interesting class of substances for organic solar cells. In the DynCam graduate school, experimentalists study clusters of acene molecules. Our project will provide the complementing theory and computer simulation. The mathematical tasks in this PhD project is a global optimization problem. We will use Monte Carlo as well as machine learning to tackle this task. The applicants for the position are expected to have some prior knowledge in programming and statistical physics. (T.
