The ionization of polyatomic molecules with ultrashort laser pulses triggers a variety of dynamical processes of the coupled electronic and nuclear degrees of freedom, which have become accessible recently with attosecond spectroscopy. In this project, state-of-the-art theoretical methods will be used to investigate dynamical processes induced by molecular photoionization, focusing on the role of the coupling of electronic and nuclear degrees of freedom and the analysis of the different reaction channels. The project will be pursued in close collaboration with experimental groups. (M. Thoss)
