Planning Ahead: Exploring Career Paths After the PhD

by Dr. Sabine Müller, Space for Change and Development

This interactive workshop is designed for PhD students who are beginning to think about their next career steps. Whether you aim to continue in academia or explore opportunities beyond it, this session will help you gain greater clarity and confidence in your choices. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, participants will examine their personal preferences, competencies, and values—using tools such as career anchors—to identify what truly matters to them in
their professional life. The workshop will also highlight the importance of building and maintaining professional networks as a key part of career development.
